first glimpse of Glenwood, inside, part deux...
this picture captures the cupboard colors the best...
hate the border, love the wainscoating and floor...

yes, that is brick painted to look like brick...
the mysterious water-heater box...

original sink...
thanks to Mom, those nasty stains are barely visible...
the closet between the bedrooms...
storage galore...
old lady curtains everywhere...
this is one of my favorite things about the house: the hardware on my bedroom doors...
the guest bedroom...

i like the parquet way more...
oh this isn't that ba....OH MY GOD...is that a vibrating recliner?
it is, oh that's horrible... oh no, look at that mirror.
a nice bay window...
and the nice curtains that cover it...ahahaha...
the other bay, i could really use some plants...
the laundry nook. Martha would have a coniption...
nightmarish wallpaper...
dining...
what does one do with this? screw DIY, i'm getting an IKEA chandlier...
more lovely curtains...
more things to cover up...
let's get one last look at this horrific print...
for those of you who had a heart attack looking at the furniture and the print above, i've sold it all on craigslist. yahoo!

first glimpse of Glenwood, outside...
let me begin by saying: prepare yourselves. there are some people who don't have to dig deep within their imagination to see potential. i am blessed to be one of these people! this cottage is just overflowing with "OH MY GOD"'s but it is going to look warm and inviting once i dig my hands into it...
it was a dreary day...
this is where the gremlins climb in...
i was told the landscaping at one point looked like a lush Hanging Gardens of Babylon and as you can see, with a history of uncaring tenants, there are about 3 plants left. here's two of them...
we must do something about this...
i love the shed. this is the only part of the house that isn't covered in vinyl.
pretty hardware...
yes. this was all left behind. and yes, the swinging door to the backyard doesn't latch properly.
i paid extra for the soggy pizza box.
like all beautiful architecture in New England, someone decided to plaster the walls with fake wood paneling and put in dropped ceilings...
original windows and roof structure.... a breath of fresh air...
oh, here's the other plant (and it may be a weed)...
a festival of thorns on the other side of the house...
