red sky at night, sailor's delight. red sky in morning...

so, my original intentions for a costume was an Edward Gorey illustration.

this proved to be a little too expensive so, thanks to my roomate (i totally stole her idea), i decided to be an owl. not only that, i was going to be an owl by spending the least amount of money possible. here was the concept drawing:

the feathers, precut.

and voila! it was fun. i couldn't find the right black glasses, but i ending up liking the outfit better without it. i already had the paper, paint and supplies so total cost of the costume: 77 cents
(for the real feathers). SWEET.
