before & after - DIY guest, Rachel Dulude
this is one of Rachel's very first furniture DIY projects (and blog appearances I'm guessing). Rachel is a very talented woman, whether it be with acting (we went to school together), sewing (she was a costumer at Trinity Rep. in Providence), or any other creative projects for that matter. the girl's got style.
not to mention she is one of my besties so she must be awesome at everything.

it's official...
i have finally found the woodworking project of a lifetime. here is my inspiration:
i never thought a piece of furniture could be so damn sexy. well done Atocha Design. problem is, though that piece is impeccable i don't want to pay $12,500 for it. i am going to make my own version.

the power of craigslist...
you have to have a good eye when perusing craigslist, no doubt. there are some incredible deals out there if you are imaginative and open-minded. it's virtually impossible to find a spankin' new piece of furniture so what do you do? you suck it up and buy those three potentially cute pieces for $65.
Yes, dearies! $65. Now, if you think I'm just plumb dumb, check out what I've done with the telephone table so far -
I just need to change the fabric ($1 a yard fabric at Wal-Mart) and poof!... refurbishing heaven. The mod chairs are going to need some Oilcloth too, but that is for another day.
